Exercising attorney since 1987; Member of the Gijon Bar Association (Colg. 1028). Professor of Criminal Law from 1990-2012 at the School of Legal Practice of Gijon. Since 2012, he is the Professor of Ethics and Professional Norms on the Master of Law at the University of Oviedo and the Bar Associations of Oviedo and Gijon. Dean of the Gijon Bar association since 2005. Secretary of the Commission on Training of the General Council of Spanish Law since 2008. Member of the Asturian Royal Academy of Jurisprudence. From 1982 till 2013, he has published a total of thirty-eight legal articles regarding criminal matters. He has acted as a speaker in various training courses in Spain, Colombia, Uruguay, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Lebanon. Specialises in Criminal Law.
